Tim “Sweet” Cantrell age 56 of Smithville, passed away Wednesday June 17, 2015 at his residence. Tim was born June 2, 1959 to his parents, the late Talmadge and Edith Jones Cantrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jack Pugh. He was a Presbyterian and was the activities coordinator with NHC. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Jackie Cantrell of Smithville; daughter, Abby Cantrell of Smithville; step-daughter, Stephanie Kirby of McMinnville; brother, Wayne (Harriett) Cantrell of Smithville; mother-in-law, Ruth Pugh of Smithville; niece, Elise (Jay) Driver of Smithville; nephew, Garth Cantrell of Smithville and several cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 2:PM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Carpenter officiating and burial to follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Friday 12 Noon until 8:PM and Saturday 10Am until the time of the service at 2:PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
