92 year old Velma Louise Blankenship of Smithville died Monday at NHC of Smithville. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Union The Baptist Church for 70 years. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Blankenship; her parents, Sam, Sr. and Etta Marsh Walker; a brother, Sam Walker, Jr.; and a sister, Vera Smith. Survivors include two children, Bettye and her husband Felix Webb of Smithville and Doris Judkins of Smithville. Two grandchildren, Kevin Webb and Glenisa and her husband Joe Willard all of McMinnville. Great grandchildren, Megan and Brandon Sparks, Matthew Willard, Heather Webb, Sarah Webb, Mari Katherine Webb, Bethany Webb, and Peyton Webb all of McMinnville. One sister, Estella Kinser of Chattanooga and several nieces and nephews. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
