82 year old Vera Hendrixson of Dowelltown died Wednesday at DeKalb Community Hospital. She was retired from the Smithville Shirt Factory and a packer for Meals on Wheels for UCHRA. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Royce Martin and Kenneth Clayton will officiate and burial will be in the Snow Hill Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hendrixson; parents, Charlie and Lola Hawker Ellis; and two brothers, Homer and James Ellis. She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis and her husband Wilson Cowan of Carthage. Three sons, Clifton and his wife Juanita Hendrixson of Dibrell, Terry and his wife Diane Hendrixson of Cookeville, and Barry and his wife Mary Ann Hendrixson of Bellbuckle. Six grandchildren, Scott and Tina Hendrixson of California, Tracy and Kurt Reddick of Carthage, April and Casin Swann of Carthage, Josh Hendrixson and girlfriend Janda Emmons of Cookeville, Daniel Hendrixson of Cookeville, Sissy and Ronnie Stacy of Bellbuckle. Seven great grandchildren, Bella Hendrixson of California, Chelsea, Katie, and Will Reddick of Carthage, Will and Travis Stacy of Bellbuckle, and Auburn Swan of Carthage. Two brothers, Freddie and Magdalene Ellis of Gladeville and Paul and Macon Ellis of Sweetwater. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
