A 56 year old woman was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital Tuesday after a wreck on Dale Ridge Road.
Trooper Dewaine Jennings of the Tennessee Highway Patrol says Patricia Walker was in a 1997 Plymouth Breeze traveling south on Highway 96 (Dale Ridge Road) when she failed to negotiate a curve, left the road on the right, overcorrected, came back across the road, and exited the left side of the road. The car then struck a small tree and overturned, coming to rest on it’s top.
DeKalb EMS got Walker out of her car and she was airlifted by a Life Flight helicopter ambulance and flown to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. She was not wearing her seatbelt.
