100 year old Willette M. Anderson, owner of Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, died Sunday at NHC Healthcare Center in Smithville. She was a DeKalb County native and had been in the funeral business since 1936. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the West Main Baptist Church in Alexandria, where she was a charter member. Amos Jarman and Thurman Seber will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the funeral home and Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Martin and Ella Vandergriff Martin; her husband of 65 years, Robert T. Anderson; brothers, Charles B. Martin and James H. “Chic” Martin; and a sister, Maurine Malone. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Phyllis and Carl Paschal of Alexandria. Four grandchildren, Pam and her husband Aaron Huddleston of Lebanon, Sharon Paschal of Alexandria, Lanee and her husband Terry Young of Mount Juliet, and Ron and his wife Tina Paschal of Alexandria. Great grandchildren, Brandon Huddleston of Daytona, Florida, Beth and her husband Aaron Eakes of Nashville, Lincoln Young and Whitney Young both of Mount Juliet, and Justin Paschal and Jessica Paschal both of Alexandria. An adopted nephew she raised, Rheada and wife Claudine Malone of Nashville. Nephews, Freddy and his wife Laverne Martin of Alexandria and Bobby Charles and wife Audrey Martin of Dowelltown.
